The Church of Fullness
What does it mean for the church to walk in true fullness? This teaching takes us deep into the heart of Ephesians to uncover five powerful expressions of who we are as the body of Christ.
We are the family of Father God, the body of Christ, the temple of the Holy Spirit, the bride of Christ, and the army of God. Each of these identities is not just a title but a living, breathing calling that shapes how we engage with the world around us.
The Greek word for church, ekklesia, reminds us that we are a people called out of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God's dear Son, as described in Colossians 1. We are not spectators sitting on the sidelines of history. We are an active, Spirit-filled people on mission.
This teaching challenges us to press beyond where we are, recognizing that Jesus himself ascended to fill all things, as Ephesians 4:13 declares, and that same fullness, the pleroma, is available to us.
If we have been feeling stagnant or plateaued in our faith, this is a timely reminder that the kingdom is eternal, it is advancing, and we are called to advance with it.
