Foundational Principle #2: Salvation is How We Enter His Kingdom

This teaching challenges us to move beyond the familiar gospel of personal salvation and embrace the fuller message of the kingdom of God.

While we rightly celebrate that Jesus is our Savior, we often miss the equally important truth that He is King—not just in heaven, but right now, ruling over all creation with complete authority.

This message draws from Colossians 1:13, reminding us that we have been delivered from darkness and transferred into the kingdom of the Son. But here's the critical question: Do we understand how this kingdom operates?

For too long, the church has preached only the entrance into the kingdom without teaching us how to function as mature sons and daughters within it. We've been given the door through salvation, but we've never explored the rooms of the house.

The gospel of the kingdom calls us to repentance and submission to Christ's rule—not as a future hope, but as a present reality. This means recognizing that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth right now, and we are called to exercise that authority as co-heirs with Christ.

This teaching confronts our tendency to relegate everything to the future return of Christ, when Acts 3:21 clearly states that heaven must receive Jesus until the times of restoration of all things. This means we have work to do—not waiting passively for rescue, but actively participating in the restoration that prepares the way for His return.

The kingdom message is uncomfortable because it demands transformation, not just transaction. It calls us to be disciples who make disciples, not just converts who wait for heaven.
